Liz Novotny is a dedicated community leader, educator, and Realtor with strong roots in the Twin Cities metro area. Born in Robbinsdale and raised in Anoka, she earned her education degree and elementary teaching license from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities before beginning her career as a teacher with Minneapolis Public Schools. Since 2007, she has worked as a licensed Realtor, helping families build roots and find opportunities throughout the metro area.
Service and civic involvement have always been central to Liz’s work. Before moving to Fridley in 2021, she served on neighborhood boards in Minneapolis, including leadership roles with the Bottineau Neighborhood Association and Windom Park Citizens in Action. In Fridley, she continued her community involvement through the Fridley Arts Commission and volunteering.
Liz and her husband chose Fridley as the place to raise their son because of the community’s strong schools and welcoming neighborhoods. They specifically enrolled their son in Fridley Public Schools because of its International Baccalaureate program, and their family is active in Fridley youth soccer. Liz believes strong communities are built through collaboration, engagement, and thoughtful leadership, and she is committed to helping Fridley continue to thrive for families and future generations.
